Bretagne, August 2022

Water, earth and sky.
Three elements gathered in a single point of convergence: the island of Ouessant. A real solitary fortress off the coast of Brittany and the last inhabited land before America. It is on this legendary island that 8 Watch The Sea seatrekkeurs put on their flippers on August 7, 8 and 9, 2022, for 3 days and 2 nights, to go around it under a mild weather and marine currents carefully studied during the previous months.
Some key figures
- 14.8 km swam,
- 18.2 km on foot,
- Total: 33 km,
- Some waste collected (mainly from marine fishing),
- Planktonic blooms of iridescent ctenophores by the thousands,
- 5 lighthouses emblematic of the national heritage: Le Créac'h, La Jument, Le Stiff, Nividic and Kéréon.
An aquatic Odyssey which required a lot of preparation and which allowed 4 new members to discover the association, its values and to taste this reconnection to nature.
